2009 Learn
to Swim Program
Join in
the excitement of the American Red Cross Summer Learn to
Swim Program!
Get
comfortable in the water, learn new swimming skills, and
have a great time during this two week session at Ashland’s
Brookside Pool.
When? Lessons run July 13-17 and 20-24. Classes in levels 1-4 are 30 minutes long, and are offered each half hour from 8am—10am. Choose a time that is convenient for you! Levels 5-6 meet from 8-8:45am each morning, and the Parent / Child classes are offered at 9am and 9:30am (when the water is warmer!)
Who can participate? Children ages 5 and up may participate in the lessons without a parent. Children 4 and under, along with an adult, may join us for the Parent / Child class. The adult must be in the pool with the child. Special Needs children are welcome in any level, and a parent or helper is encouraged to participate with them!
Registration and Swim Testing: Know which level you need? Sign up at the Red Cross office anytime between June 22 and July 9 from 9-4am, Monday—Friday. Want to get in the pool and take a swim test to see which class you need? Come to Brookside Pool on July 9 between 8-10am. During the first class, the teachers will pre-test all children and make any needed class changes. Class sizes are limited, so sign up early!
